Hi, does any one know of where the antenna wire attaches too inside the cockpit after it comes through the canopy and is this a post WW2 setup. I've seen photos of P51s without this antenna wire, mainly I'm wandering weather or not to add this antenna wire to the model I'm working on. Help appreciated.

I don't have any great proof. I've got some old B&W photos in Aero Series 15 the hint that the antenna mounts to a 'spring' on the back edge of the head rest. From there I suppose it works it's way to the radios behind the seat.

Thanks for that, I've since discovered that later in the war the aerial wire was all internal
