Guys,

I've set up a Shop on Shapeways.
Down Range Productions Shapeway Shop

I have a few things in it now, But am looking to possibly add to it if I can find (or make) a 3d CAD model of it. I'm open to suggestions.

I do the CAD work in my spare time, so It may not be really speedy.

I haven't ordered any of them yet, so cannot attest to the quality.

How about some of the flotation devices the Allies installed on their tanks? There seems to be a large gap in products to represent these. I am speaking of 1:35 scale. I see that several are available in 1:72.

The models look good, the drill is a particularly unique but simple diorama item.

What about some modern gasmasks or gasmask clad heads? Its something overlooked by almost all figure manufacturers. A lot of people doing futuristic and the newly popular post apocalyptic would like that.

How about a Chrysler Multibank Engine?

There is only one out there that I know of. It is put out by Resicast, on ebay through Dragon Hobby it is $99.00, and $75.00 from a place in Australia.

Perhaps it would be just as pricey via 3D printing, but I thought that I would just put the idea out there....

Greg,

I've tried finding an existing 3d model of it with no luck. I'd need the plans for it to try to model it myself.
I'd be up to the task that's for sure.

Been playing around with some more stuff:

Hydraulic fittings in 1/35 scale:

Available HERE

And testing the waters with some u joints for scratchbuilding drivelines.... Thoughts or comments on the usefulness of a set of these?

I can take the stuff that's there & do it in other scales under 1/48 more challenging, and possibly not doable.

Would the Shell of the M944 5-ton shop truck be too much. I think it would be a great subject.

What about a M944/945 5ton shop truck (Batmobile). And a Aircraft Control section that goes on the back of a 5ton truck. All in 1/35 scale.

They might be rather large (and $$) to print.

All I have I can measure would be US style ones.

Those were the rectangular hood ones right (they slipped thru the cracks sorry)
