does anyone have any ideas/done any good kits?

Thanks

for people who don't use pounds

Oliver,
You might try out this shop, however', shipping costs may be a negative factor for you.

If nothing else it should put you on to several great kits which you may be able to find locally.

Free Time Hobbies specialises in ship models. Their web shop is quite logical and you can find the 1/350 battleships here You'd best consider plastic due to your budget. A resin battleship in this scale is very expensive, as you may clearly see.

It appears that Warspite, Arizona, King George V, Prince of Whales, Graf Spee, and Dreadnought all fall close to your stated budget limits, and several others are a bit more expensive. Of course you'd also have to factor in postage.

Closer to home for you, Hannants offers the following 1/350 Battleship-related items (some of these are detailing sets, but that's easy enough to figure out).

Oliver

You might try 1001 also. They show a few pretty close to what your looking for, and shipping I assume would be cheaper.

thanks I have seen the Academy 1/350 Warspite quite cheap, it seems to fit the bill

do you know what paint colours (in Tamiya) you use for British battleships?

I was thinking XF80 for the hull and superstructure and XF54 for the decks and/or camouflage stripes?

There will be a color guide in the box. Once you get the ship,
if Tamiya is not suggested, post the suggested colors and
will help you find the corresponding Tamiya colors.
