Thinking of buying a Hold and Fold bug but I have recently read the review on a respected military modelling website.

They reviewed the Bug and initially thought it was excellent. But they then updated it saying that after a small amount of use the fingers distorted slightly so that they would not grip the photo-etch no matter how much they tightened the knob.

Thinking it was a one off problem they quickly got it replaced only to report the same problem with the replacement after a short time.

There will always be rogue examples but they do seem to have been unlucky if it is not a common problem.

Has anyone here experience similar problems with the bug?

I have the 4" and have experience a tiny bit of warpage in the long side, mostly it has no effect, but when folding pieces with a small (or short side) that needs to be held, it does tend to slip out.
