It has been a long, long time since I've visited the forums here. Thought I would show a few pics of what is taking place with my model room. We've been in this house for just over 2 years now and I am finally getting around to making it a little more complete. The ceiling wasn't finished so that was first on my list of things to do. I spent about 2 hours unloading the room today then got part of the drop ceiling framed and test fit...kinda like a giant model only instead of glue I'm using 16 penny nails! Anyway...here is where she is as of tonight...Hoping to have the rest of the framing knocked out in the coming few days then onto drywall.

Envy bit me. I only have half of a 10x12' office and my closet.

I show my wife the photos so she won't think my bench is so big.
I follow your wildlife posts and builds over at Hyperscale. It is nice to see you back here.

Model room is all framed up. Now to run electrical for new lights, then install drywall. Hoping to have that part completed this coming week. "Q"

Model room is drywalled. Now to tape and mud the seams and add some texture to everything.

Are you going to stay with a cement floor so you can find parts you drop? Looks very nice, and much larger than my crowded work bench in the laundry room.

I am thinking of painting it. I dropped a part recently from an Airfix Lightning and as luck would have it, the plastic was the exact color match for the floor. I ended up scratch building a new part and even after gutting the room and sweeping...I never found it. Amazing how that works. Was thinking of using and epoxy coating on the floor, but I think I would have to strip the current paint on there and I don't relish the thought of getting into that. Might just add a few more coats of whats down there already and call it good. This room is smaller than what I had, but it is far easier to keep up with.
