I have a thing for old kits, i just purchased some old Nichimo kits(yes, I know they are inaccurate)I got the jagdpanzer IV, Tiger 1, Tiger II Porsche turret version and the Elephant, all for just $35. a true bargain. I will like to know if some company has made photo etch zimmerit for this kits or if a set for another brand would work. thanks for your help

Hi Kevin,
Your best bet is to create zimmerit with putty.

To my knowledge, there is no zimmerit panels available for the older Nichimo kits.

Also zimmerit is quite kit specific, so zimmerit panels for other kits will most likely not fit Nichimo kits.

Again, give putty a go.

Cheers,
Joe

Hi Kevin,

Try the hot-iron method as recently discussed here:

Thanks for the help, i knew it was a long shot. sorry for the late reply. I was thinking of replacing all the tools in the Nichimo kits with Tamiya's on vehicle ones for the panzer IV. would that be correct? Also I am going to replace the rubber band tracks with individual track sets by Hobby Boss, AFV and Academy.
