With a little more than two months to go, if you haven’t started building for the AMPS 2014 International Convention, you better start.

This year’s convention will be held at the Fredericksburg Hospitality House Hotel and Conference Center, Fredericksburg, VA, where the 2011 show was held. The hotel and venue are great in that you can reserve your room, drop off your gear and hit the show without having to leave the premises.

The show theme for this year’s convention is “Tanks on Film.” So, dig out and review those old war favorites like Sahara, Battle of the Bulge, Halls of Montezuma, Saving Private Ryan. Or if you are the TV type, how about Rat Patrol, Combat. Even Hogan’s Heroes. If it’s on film, it’s a potential show winner.

Seminars have been a neat part of AMPS and have covered a good variety of topics from some great speakers. This year, in addition to a nice line-up of seminar topics, AMPS is launching for the first time, “AMPS University” for hands-on learning and instruction on several modeling topics soon to be announced.

Please note: Beginning at the AMPS 2014 International Convention, in order to enter models into the show, the model entrant must be an AMPS member. Can't make it this year, where is going to be next year?

I'm sorry you cannot make it this year. As for next year's show location, I don't know, but will know immediately following the AMPS 2014 show as that announcement will be made sometime over the convention weekend.
