Hi, Thomas. I am newbie on this forum so I just see your post. Maybe you already find what you looking for, Winner Hobby shop near Samoeng intersection. Not sure any shop in downtown other than a toy section in Central Plaza near Chiang Mai Airport.

Glad to hear you move to Chiang Mai. A very nice city. I had been frequently in and out there for five years. .
