Hi all,
X-mas finally allowed me to upgrade from the Aztek airbrush that I've been cursing for the past six months to a better one. But I've still got the Testors Mini compressor ( http://www.scalehobbyist.com/catagories/Airbrushes_and_Supplies/TES00050204/product.php?s=3&t=0&u=6 )

My question is: can I run a pressure regulator with a water tap on this compressor?
I'm looking to finally be able to do fine lines and such but without another large investment.

Many thanks in advance for any advice.

You can do that. I've done it from time to time with a compressor I've had since the 90s. I prefer to have a tank between the compressor and the brush though. You can pick up an inexpensive tank compressor at a place like Harbor Freight and give it a go. Check around for second hand ones as well.

I use a Craftsmen 1HP 125psi 3 gallon compressor I picked up for $80 on sale. It's loud so I have to think of the neighbors after dark. But I usually will charge the tank up to 100-110 psi and can get a decent paint session and cleaning done without any issues....and in silence.

Not sure if that helps.

Yes! that is exactly what I was planning! Just not sure if it would work.

Thank you both
