Hi fellow model builders - no more lurking or skulking around the edges for me!
Next step, figure out how to post some pics - looking forward to being part of this adventure

Welcome aboard, Nick. For posting, type in "posting photos" in the search bar and you should get a couple of good step by step tutorials.

Hi Russ - thanks - yes, I'll take a look and see. Might wait until the weekend - non-model building work has me occupied for now.
Hi Darren, thanks and, sure. I build mostly in 1/35, typcically vehicles with tires and wheels (any era/country) rather than tracks - I spend a fair amount of time on buildings (structures) to the extent practical i scratch build them (at least no kits), trying out new materials as i go along.
I'm a transplant from railroad modeling - turns out, my layout was really more of a big diorama that happended to have a train that moved . As i was coming to this realization, I stumbleded into 1/35 and the great work that has been done for many years - and gave it a go and liked it -
The current project is intended to look like an abused metal building (styrene) - that is, rusted, weathered etc.
The idea is this building houses a vehicle prototype development/fabrication, and conversion shop. Once I learn to post, I'll show some progress pics - vehicles inside are primairly modern OIF etc, but with mods - a couple of MATVs, M1078, RG31 Mk5 (modfied kinetic) etc...once i post, you'll see my experience is mostly in the buildings! - i have fun with the vehcles
OK - sorry for going on and on -
cheers

Hi Victor, thanks for the nice intro! Although, you've set bar pretty high, between your words and model building skills!!
I'll give posting a go tomorrow - it's supposed to be rainy all day
Cheers
