My dad and I have been playing a lot of WoT. He likes the Allied tank destroyers. I know that the T18 was based on the M3 hull. I have found several pictures, but can not find any line drawings. I would really like to build this for him as part of his Christmas. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Hi Matt
I did a search on the web and found this Commander Models resin conversion.
Check it out. https://www.whiteensignmodels.com/p/Commander+Models+135+T18+Howitzer+Motor+Carriage+Conversion+Academy+M3+Stuart+COM2005/20010/#.Uoi1PL4o6mQ
Good luck in your scratch build.
Cheers,
Ralph

I did find that. It wasn't until after my post. However, I want some practice building from scratch. I even have an M3 Lee 75 turret and M3 Stuart chassis.

howdy
T18 75 mm Howitzer Motor Carriage.
Self-propelled gun based on M3 chassis. 75 mm M1A1 pack howitzer was mounted in a boxy superstructure. The project started in September 1941 and was abandoned in April 1942. Only two were produced, 75 mm Howitzer Motor Carriage M8 was chosen to be produced instead.
Looks like the M1A1 75 mm is a very different gun from the one that was mounted on an M3

just a quick question, were these really meant for the Tank Destroyer Role?

Thank you. Learned that through WoT and confirmed it online. It does not look too complicated. However, I feel the gun will be the most complex part of this build. Isn't WoT great?!

George Bradford does a series of plans in several scales available for CDN$2.00 a sheet.
I have a feeling that a similar chassis 'might' be covered in his World War II AFV Plans: American Armored Fighting Vehicles (World War II Armored Fighting Vehicle Plans) BUT the T18 is not specifically in the index, more research needed here?
