Can Squadron "Green Putty" be thinned?

I haven't done it yet myself, but I've heard many modelers thin it with regular Testor's Liquid Cement mixed in an empty paint jar.

Hi Cal,
It can but wear a respirator. Green Putty is full of nasty fumes and vapors and mixing it with liquid cement just magnifies the poisons.
A long time ago I smoothed it with denatured alcohol; it worked OK.
