I know it's not the usual 50% off, but 33% off isn't bad... It'll save a few bucks on that new kit.... Hhhhmmmmm I wonder what I'd save on the Academy 1/32 F-18 now??? :-)

They hid all the new armor models last time they had the sale here. The new Marder was gone, the new Tamiya King Tiger was gone. They were all there Thursday so if they are all gone Monday I'm gonna ask somebody where they went.
Anyway I can pick up something for the Sci Fi campaign if nothing else...

Well,
I know what kits my local HB had and if they were gone, I'd be looking for the Manager..
Although I think that happened last time they had the 50% off, because the high-dollar kits disappeared fast..

Just returned from our local Hobby Lobby with a Taniya M-26 Pershing. I paid $28 for it, so I think it was a deal. I thought I had a good thing going with a Tamiya M-48 that was marked down to $12.99 but the check-out clerk said no discounts for already marked down merchandise. I put it back. They really didn't have much of a stock today.

Howdy hworth18,

I've had the opportunity in the past to alert the membership to the Hobby Lobby sale, so I will sit appreciatively on the sidelines this time and say a big Thank You! to you for giving us the heads up!!

Tread.

I'll have to go and see what they've got on the shelves........... :-)

Came home today with Academy's 1/32 F/A-18C Hornet. Price marked was $114.99, but the kicker is, that I didnt get it for 33% off, but for 50%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Boy was I happy. I dont know why the cashier did that. OH WELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now to wait for Squadron to get the new Eduard photo etch set for the cockpit or the new Black Box resin cockpit.

Epi, Why didn't you keep that to yourself? Having seen some reports on it, I was thinking how nice it would be to get one... $115 (recommended retail)? Price here is closer to $150.....sob,sob,sob.. Jim

My Dear Fellow Modelers,
Listen up! You live in Spain and Greece and don't have Hobby Lobbys. I live in Kansas and have several. Wanna trade? My wife and I have to save money for years to visit where you live. Do you save money for years to visit Kansas?
If you do, I'll buy thebar-b-que?

Sorry Jim. I didnt want to seem like I was rubbing it in.
Normally the Hornet is retailing for About $140 to $150. That why I was so happy to see it at that price and then be lucking for the cashier to give it to me for half off.
Just to make it easier, I was waiting for about 2 months to get it, watching the newspaper for the sale and checking the web sight every Sunday for a coupon.
