What do you guys use for cutting photo-etch?

i have a tamiya photo-etch scissors but it is pretty wide and doesnt fit into alot of the photo-etch parts.

i have been using a razor blade to cut, but, it requires alot of force and i have broken several razor blades.

there has to be an easier way!

I used a curved Xacto knife, and on a piece of thicker card stock as to not bend the parts when cutting.

I use a scalpel for Photo etched items with the exception of Trumpeter's photo etched frets as they tend to be a heavier grade. I also cut the photo etched parts free on an old house tile.

I use a #11 razor blade and cut it on a piece of glass.

A cuticle clipper found in a Dollar Store (paid 2.00$).

It's quite excellent to catch those smallish P-E attachment.

It's almost the same thing:

Try Xuron they make a real nice PE cutter that will get into some tight areas. They also make plastic cutters. The scissors are 9180ET.

Like Kevin, I use a #10 curved blade on a piece of plexiglas, rock the blade back and forth (more like a back to front rolling action) while pressing down. One blade will last me quite a long time and gives a nice cut. Personally, I haven't had any luck with the PE scissors/cutters...but they do make great wire cutters

PM me if you cannot find one, I bought 5 or 6 the last time I went to the Dollarama (all they had in that alley). We'll try to fix something up.
