"IN MY OPINION", I repeat, "MY OPINION," I love them.
Sorry that came out like that. Hard to explain.
I srtictly use acrylic paints all the time. I use Model Master Acryl's, Tamyia, and Polly Scale. But I always try to use Vallejo for painting figures. Now, I havnt tried their airbrush paints, but I here they are good too.
The bottles are very convientiant and they paint on smooth.
I use to leave in Dallas/Ft. Worth and I use to work at a hobby store there. We carried Vallejo there, thats how I got started using them. Well I moved down to San Antonio and there is no shop here that carries them. So every time I go up to Dallas/Ft. Worth once a month for my drill weekend, I stock up on these paints.
I recommend them for figure painting!!!!

I have just used them on a dd sherman I am building - I love them and I cannot see me going over to using enamel. They are so easy to use and SO easy to clean up afterwards. I just blew clean water through my aztec when finished painting.

I use them in my AB and they work great. Don't need to thin them, easy to clean up after. I think they are the paint of choice.

Personal opinion again... In a word, yes! The Vallejo airbrush colors are paticularly useful. As I can't get access to Modelmaster Acrylics, and Vallejo is produced here, the Model Air range has become a godsend.. In figure painting there is literally nothing better, the only thing is one has to think SUBTLE a delicate touch with Vallejo, pays big dividends...Jim

I mostly use Model Master Enamels, but when I decide to use acrylic in one of my models, I use Vallejo Model Air. They work great. You can fill your AB directly from the bottle. For most of the colours I donīt thin the paint but if you feel you need it, use Vallejo thinner or destilated water only. They have another line (Model Color) that they say isnīt for AB but I didnīt try it.

I've just begun trying them too - and I like them! I think I'll like them more with experience...

I like the fact that the paint "lays down" perfectly and does not pick up brush strokes very easily. They layer well, too! Have a couple of the airbrush colors, but have not used them yet. Great colors and great stuff!!

I've been modeling for over 25 years and tried them all : Humbrol enamel, oils, Tamiya acrylics,...
Today I only use Vallejo, Vallejo Game Color and Andrea. All 3 are similar bottles, probably from same factory. I wouldn't trade them for any other kind of paint !
I mix / thin / clean the paint with window cleaner (glassex or Instanet) to dissolve. Almost identical to the specialised Acrylics thinners, but sooooooooooo much cheaper and excellent results

They are very delicate when dry and chip very easily but they do paint very well and acheive a very smooth finish. Just rember to coat them after with a matt or closs coat after.

I agree with this also they do come off a little easy if you are not careful not dulled scratch but off the model makes great scratches tho as they are allready layed out for you.
Good call Tiny! (++) (:-)
