I have a few white metal parts to glue to a plastic kit. I assume ( we all know what they say about that) you use CA glue. Am I correct? (for a change...so much for me being user of the month....Hey Jim..what about..Abuser of the month?).....p.s. Special thanks to Kencelot for the new banner!!

Yes, user CA glue, but with white metal parts, you may want to buy zip kicker. It accelerates the drying time for the CA so it sets quickly. Also have some acetone based fingernail polish remover around. It is used to remove the CA glue residue or unstick your fingers from the plastic surface.

When I glue white metal things I usually shine up the mating surface of the white metal part with some fine sand paper or steel wool. The gray stuff on the parts is an oxide. If you polish/sand that off I think it gives you a better bond.

Just my .02
