Any good tips in transporting models especially delicate ones? I want to bring my kit somewhere else but don't have a car yet so I'm bringing them by hand. Any ways on how to keep 'em safe?

Since YOU are the mover and not the post service the problem is smaller . Make a piece of styrofoam your base and scribe and dig the shape of the model so lets say half of it goes in like burying it half in there. you have also to use some flexible but tight rubber straps (the ones we use to keep papers together in a pack in offices) and make holes to the bottom of the styrofoam base so the rubber straps can be passed through there and secure on some safe point of the model useing some cooton pieces so that u dont affect the surface painting . try your strapping to be not to loos , but not to tight also , so u wont break any parts . after securing it to the base make a same way styrofoam cover sculptures to leave enough space for the model and use some bubble like packing material to fill the gaps between the cap and the m,odel.
Use tape to secure the 2 parts together and there it is closed in a box not moving inseide , and if you dont fall on a bus there is not going to be a problem. Even if you fall, though , you should go for restoring but your precious model not !!! Hope i helped

Thanks! Reminds me of my old Transformers toys. They have wires which held the toy securely to the base.
