Got my tickets for Return of the King today! 7:40 show, Dec. 17!

Didn't even have to go online, they were selling them at the theater and I noticed a sign up. First time I have seen a theater do this so far in advance.

Can't wait.

Oh yeah, I also see that they are screening the extended versions of Fellowship and Two Towers on the 16th. Would be cool to see those on the big screen, but I don't thinkl I could sit for that long!

I hope you enjoy it! Unfortunately, unless i get down to Madrid in the next couple of months, I won't get a chance to see it until its released on DVD. The reason? All movies here are dubbed, so badly dubbed, you would not believe it.... LOTR in Castellaņo (the books) are reckoned to contain no less than 150 major errors in translation, there is nothing to believe that the films are any better translated . Enjoy it, I for one am desperate to see it...Jim

Can't say I trust online ticket vendors. I heard lots of horror stories about people who tried to get tickets for 'Trilogy Tuesday' online...

Early in the morning, might as well stretch!

Trilogy Tuesday, December 16th, is an event happening in select cities where theaters show a marathon of FOTR extended cut, followed by TTT extended cut, followed by ROTK. Intermissions of 45 minutes come between movies.
Cool as it would've been, I don't think I could do 12 hours in a movie theater! :-)

Myabe I'll watch TT DVD the night before (at least the last hour or so) and that will be enough for me.

Sorry, I couldn't spend a whole day in the mall seeing movies. Maybe next year I'll do it at home when ROTK extended DVD is released!

Steve

BTW - Didn't check out what they are charging for this. Do you know the cost of the trilogy ticket?

Not Cheap. The price range I saw was anywhere between $35 - $45. Still, for a one-time event...

Considering what I have already paid to see the first two and then having bought the extended DVD's, that is more than I would spend. Not that big a fan I guess...

I wonder why it's so much? Three $8.50 tickets is only $25.50. Free popcorn or something?

my tickets have been booked for weeks, my local cinema took advanced bookings before they even had the tickets to sell!

its good to see plenty of tolkien geeks here, i bought a cool LOTR model the other day,
games workshop 'Nazgul on fell beast', nice kit in white metal and plastic, its awaiting paint at this precise moment.

cheers

I hope I am not threadjacking here but I thought you ROTK fans might enjoy the link below. Apparently the computer generated armies ran away from the battles when the AI was turned on. Too funny. Found it at Fark...
