I've noticed that when doing any level of PE or scratchbuilding work, the number of various types of pliers I use is pretty ludicurous. I end up having much of my workbench cluttered with them.
I'd like to find a solution that can firmly, but removably mount to my tabletop workbench to store them when I'm not using them.
Imagine something like this:
http://www.amazon.com/Beadalon-207A-045-Acrylic-Pliers-Rack/dp/B00480OU9K/ref=pd_sim_sbs_ac_1
or
http://www.amazon.com/Jewelers-Wood-Plier-Wooden-Holder/dp/B000OVPGWM/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1375574129&sr=8-7&keywords=workbench+plier+holder
But mounted perpendicular to the leading edge of my workbench table (2 inches thick).
Any ideas or products come to mind?
Thanks!

Jake,
the first thing that came to mind after reading your post was a toilet paper holder and I think this one would work well.
Cheers Rob.

While not the most elegant, I hang my pliers on nails driven into the side of my bench.

Hi Jake I bought one of those magnetic kitchen utensil holders. Got all my pliers cutters files etc. on it.

I "found" a plastic desk organizer with with a lot of vertical compartments, and I use the rear one to hold most of the pliers and cutters.
But it sounds like your requirements are more restrictive.

I'm a huge peg board apologist. Have my seven pliers on the pegboard at my right.

I keep my PE plies in a dedicated drawer in a small 3 drawer cabinet.. I have 6 of these on 2 shelves over the workbench.
and the more general tools on 2 1 inch magnetic strips that mount on the wall over my workbench..
