If I ever found a hobby store like that, I could spend at least 2 hours a day there.

Thanks for sharing that picture. It brought back some great memories. Believe it or not, I had the same exact sweater. Wore it all the time.

Yep - had that JS-3 kit! By the mid-70s it was a bit long in the tooth, mind...

YES... I remember those days hanging out at one of the Squadron shops back when they were headquartered in Detroit. I sure did leave tons of hand and nose prints on the glass display cases.

Cheers

There are still some shops like this as the last time I visited Halifax Modellers World it reminded me of times past being packed to the gunnels.

I'm afraid I'd spend more than just a few hours a day in there.

Like a lot of $$$ would be flowing!

AAHHH Yes... the days when we used buy a kit on Friday afternoon
and by Sunday night, it was built, painted and up on the shelf!

Happy Times!

Cheers,

There is a local hobby shop that has models piled up like that. I spend to much time and money there. Just last night I went in for some paint and ended up leaving with a Dragon wagon kit.

I went to my lhs, today. Only one, in Jacksonville. Still can't figure that out. But, I digress. They have 40 armor kits, in various scales and their mark up is outrageous. I support them as best as I can. I just can't see paying $42 for a six year old Italeri kit. That's the cheapest line, too. Even the ships, cars and planes are slim pickings.

there's a few hobby shops like that still in Milwaukee, stacked to the ceiling with kits and three to four rows deep of each category of models.

I go there often, but sometimes leave with anything, I just roam the isles! I did however just pick up a rare Mig 29 kit for $25.00
