What is a SMART KIT ? What is the difference between a regular kit and a smart kit?

Smart Kits are designed to be easier to build,it has less parts than a conventional kit but does keep up with the same level of detail.
Dragons first smart kit was a panther G #6268 way back in 2006.
I built their panzer IV ausf E way back in 2005 and the kit had over 1000 parts and you could not get the sprues back into the box
.
Think it was this kit that really kick started Dragon to become the best selling brand in 1/35 scale models.
