Hi all Kitmaker members,

I want to bring your attention to a discussion about a potential campaign that will be of interest to many of us:
Helicopter Crossover Campaign
This campaign would be of interest to Armorama (Army helicopters) Aeroscale (Air force/Civilian helicopters) and Model Shipwrights (Naval helicopters) as well as anyone else who suddenly feels the overwhelming desire to build a hysterical palm tree.

If we get our minimum of 10 interested modellers, we will run the main campaign thread here in General Modelling to make it easy for everyone on the Kitmaker network to find it. You would be encouraged to run your own parallel build thread on your home site if you so choose; just link to the main thread and post updates there on occasion to keep us all informed of your progress.

I replied in the discussion thread linked to above, but for anyone late to the party, all that is necessary at the moment is to post your intention to join. Once the campaign is approved, the Campaign Admins will create the official sign-up page and then we'll be able to advertise where that is.

8 people are interested already. Two more and this campaign will become a reality!

I think there's a bug in the campaign submission page because I distinctly selected 2014 from the drop-down options and lo and behold it defaulted to 2013. Oh well, it's corrected now.

Nice but in its small size, the helicopter is really almost
not visible.

If I may suggest, how about something more like this.

The helicopter is a little more visible, but the colours don't address the crossover theme very well. What about quartering the colours red/navy/light blue/green and see what that looks like?
