I'm looking for 1:35/32 paints cans of the type used during WWII. I know that the paint was usually poured into a bucket, but I want to include some in some of my builds. Does anybody know if these exist? TIA

Wow , that is something that has never crossed my mind . But true all pictures of German vehicle being painted have never shown a paint container . I believe they came in 5 gallon buckets of paste .

Thank you for your fast response. I'm not sure about "paste", as paint seemed to be in good supply. Although, this may have only been early on in the war. I also believe that they collected paint they "found" or were "provided" with, by the conquered populace. I do know that almost every vehicle had a pale, but have not been able to imagine that it was used solely for paint. I may resort to buckets of paint, if I can find no further information to contradict this.

Contrary to what some collectors believe, German helmets were often camouflaged using spray paint applied by the use of large pneumatic spray guns found on vehicles and tanks.

From the above statement(and a few pertaining to jerry cans), I believe that they stored the paint in the used jerry cans. And, poured it into the bucket or spray gun as needed.

from what I had read the paint for camo for the german tanks came as a paste to be diluted with petro or anything handy at the time I believe this was the early vehicles until they started doing camo at the factories .

I believe the time frame that I am thinking of is right after they started using dark yellow . Initially the vehicles left the factory in dark yellow with the chocolate brown and dark green paint to be applied in the field as needed.

I'll do a bit more research. The first vehicle I have up is, a panzer III N in Africa. That would be from 41' to 42'.

Meant 42'-43'. I have the colors I need. I just needed to know how paint was carried on vehicles.
