Hey guys,

I'm building Tamiya's FW-190D 1/48and adding Verlinden's detail set 1/48 with it -that's the cockpit, engine, wheel well, and gun bay detail kit- but things aren't really going together very well.

Biggest problem right now is getting the gun bay and wheel well to fit inside the fuselage and wing assembly. It's like they didn't take proper measurements of ANYTHING! I've dremeled the plastic to as thin as I can make it, even had to slice some details away, and it still wont fit! As you can imagine I am incredibly frustrated right now.

Has anyone built this kit and set? Can anyone offer some advice, because I am considering scratching this project for something more relaxing, like a self-administered lobotomy!

In all seriousness, I really want these detail sets to work but I am loosing hope that this is workable. Please help

Just found this. Apparently it's not me, its the set. If anyone has any insight that would cut down my hours of What the heck! I would still appreciate it.

Thanks
