I have seen articles and builds about people using thin solder wire for scale wires etc. I have been doing some looking around, and it seems the smallest I can find is 0.6mm.

Does it come smaller, and where do you find it?

Thanks
Kevin

Plus Models has lead wire in diameters 0.2mm and up. Is that what you are looking for?

Try looking in the fly tying department of a sporting goods store. Lead wire in various small diameters is used for making weighted flies.

Funny you ask! Just yesterday, I went by a sporting goods shop (small local place, not a chain) that had a well stocked fly fishing section. They sold down to .010. I picked up 6 rolls of various sizes and spent $12 or so all told.

(I also noticed they sold Zap-A-Gap, if you need to stock up while you're there!)

I would recommend floral wire. It is very thin and easy to manipulate.

Bill, Pic?
I'm planning on adding at least 1 Bergpanzer in the field repair area, time has been tight lately, burned thru 30# of plaster on rock molds.

electronics suppy places have very fine solder grades as well. the really small stuff can be hard to work with tho, as it fatigues and breaks very easily - but for some things it is superior than normal wire - just depends on what you are doing.

but generally i use the floral wire suggested above for very fine stuff, and solder for thicker lines.
