Acrylic and Enamel Question

I have been working exlusively with acrylics up to this point. However, I don't like doing touch ups because of the way they soften the previous coats and cause lumps. Can enamels be put over acrylic as touch up? Or should I just use enamels to start with?

Sorry, should have mentioned that I use an airbrush for applying the main coat.

Dan,
Enamel can go over acrylic. For your acrylic problem, try sealing the undercoat first. Make sure you let it dry for a couple of days before you try to touch up any mistakes.
