I'm looking for some turned 88mm shells. I only need a couple, if anybody could spare them. Thanks.

I can send you a 2 pieces of brass and you can chuck them into a drill and use a file and sand paper till the desired part is made.

I have a lathe, but not enough experience. I'm too lazy to dedicate myself to turning my own.

So you're too lazy to do it yourself, so instead, you'll just post messages online for someone to GIVE you theirs?

I did intend to pay for them. So, take your uppity comments somewhere else. But, it doesn't matter. I realized I have a KT with turned shells.

I did not know you had a lathe, you should learn to use it , I am teaching my self and you cant believe what you can make with it. working with a mill also. at present making a set of retractable bow planes for my 1/48 scale I-19 RC submarine. all you need is the right tooling and a good set up. there are plenty of sites with free books on Using a lathe and mill. Also making a set of prop struts using 9mm shells .

I've been practicing on aluminum, but haven't been able to turn a gentle slope.

Micromark sells a radius tool, or look for an instruction manual on radius. you might change to brass, I find it easier to cut and it does not load your cutting tool with soft chips

I have a Sherline lathe. The tools MicroMark has are for the mills they list. I'll probably be able to pick an appropriate one up, for my birthday. I'll try to source some brass rod.

If you have a universal tool post on your lathe measure how big of a tool that you can use. I can use up to a 1/2 thick tool on mine. I am not an expert by no means. and If I remember Sherline are small lathes for the table top. but I am sure you can find the tooling you need. as for me I have 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch carbide tooling at all different angles. I have not bought the radius tool as I really do not have the use for one. you should do some research for what is out there for the Sherline product I was looking at one before I bought the one I have. There are also websites and forums for that brand and I am sure you can find some one willing to teach you how to use it. If you wish to carry this on PM me as this does not really belong in this forum.

My dad can teach me. It's just getting him to do it. A radius tool runs ~$100.

Thank you, but no. I just needed a physical shell to take measurements from. I think the KT shells I have will do.
