I am planning to order a platz models 1:72 plane from japan, and i am just wondering is anyone of you ordered anything from japan before? I am living in the uk and i am cannot find a distributor here, and i think i have to pay extreme lot of taxes for it. I would like to now your experiences with japanese sellers and the amount of taxes what have to pay for the orders.

I would check the Chinese sellers first such as lucky model.

I would recommend www.hobbyeasy.com. I have dealt with them on numerous occasions. Fast delivery and large selection.

I've shipped a lot to the UK. The tax you're talking about isn't from the seller. It's the good ol' UK "bend over, we got you now" VAT.

Oh yes VAT , this was and customs. I have tried hobbyeasy and luckymodels but none has the platz 1/72 x-47b. One of my friend has ordered a stuff from japan and he had to pay the double price at the end because various customs+vat.
