Hello,
I am a new member. Been posting some in the model section but new here.
I recently aquired three shell casings.
1- appears to be steel with a finish on it. Its marked "90mm - M19B1"
2- appears to also be steel with a finish on it. Its marked "76mm - M26B1", "Lot CLM-66 1954", "AMM LOT LOP-9-44-X", and "SMKLS SHELL M42A1"
3- is a brass shell. Its marked "75mm.M18", "Lot 5118-12", "C.B.&C.CO.1940". This shell also has ink stamping around the middle of the shell that says "normal" and a band.
I have done a bit of googling and I think shell #2 is for a korea era Sherman? I am pretty sure shell #3 is for a WW2 era M3 or M4. Normal load as opposed to super or under.
I have no idea what shell #1 would be for. I was hoping it was for a M26 Pershing, but not with that date.
I will try to post some pictures a bit later.
Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly apprciated.
Also, does anyone know where I might get some projectiles to replace in these for display? Safe and legal ones of course.
Thanks
Spence
