My daughter and I are building a 1:1 '77 Camaro for her (below) and I would like to build a model of it as well.

MPC made a few 1/25 models of the '75 thru '77 Camaro. Does anyone have one to spare or know where one can be located? I have seen them on eBay, but keep getting sniped on them at the last minute.

Here is the 1:1 car.

In progress...

Exterior done and repainted...

We still need to finish up the interior, but it is getting there.

Any help on the model will be most appreciated.

What's under the hood, a 305? That's what I had with my '77 Rally Sport LT.

As far as the model, eBay is my only suggestion.

Nope. It originally came with a 250 in-line 6 from the factory.

It is just a little tweeked. It now has a 350 w/ an Eddlebrock 4 bbl and performer intake. A light cam and a little stall converter as well. Topped off with Eddlebrock Elite series valve covers and air cleaner. It is now, basically, a Z28 clone w/3-speed auto trans.

Yup, as to the model, I think eBay may be the only way, unless someone has one burried in their stash.

So it probably came with a 275 10-bolt, right?

I found a perfect 12-bolt with 411/412 gears (I have forgot much of that lingo ) and of course, positrac.

With STILL a stock 305 2 barrel, with a shift kit in the tranny and 50 series tires all around it would still churp the tires in second. Of course I heavily modified the ignition and with headers and stock Z-28 resonators the car really came alive.

I wish now I had never let it go.

Goodluck on your quest... I'll keep an eye out for it too.

Sounds like yours was nice as well.

Thanks for keeping an eye out for me. I'm currently watching about 4 kits on eBay that will work. Hopefully I get one of them.

Thanks ivanhoe6. I'd like to keep it under $50 is possible.

Yup, my daughter loves the ride...so do all the young men at her High School.

Success!!

I finally got one on eBay. I also found a PE set, Edelbrock intake and valve cover set, and gauge decals for it. I think I am set.

Thanks to everyone who had an eye out for me.

Aah... the 75 Camaro. First year for the new rear window but I hated the emblem in the grill.

That body style for me it was either the 77 (last year with those bumpers) or the 74 (first year with those bumpers but with the old rear window)

Congrats on the score!
