I just purchased a plastic ladder. I want put a nice bend in it like a circle /hook on one end...any idear on how to put a bend in it... Candeling does not work don't ask....I need to warm the plastic then bend it around a piece of 1/2" copper pipe... As a electrician I can bend pvc pipe by heating it in warming blanket, it gets rubbery and I can bend away. Will Hot water get it rubbery enough? Any idea's?

A hair dryer has worked for me once in the past. Just don't hold the dryer too close.

you need about 200-210 degF to soften styrene, hot water for this purpose means close to boiling - the hair dryer will also certainly do it.

practice with some scraps or sprues first, the transition comes on suddenly and not necessarily evenly.
