hi, I would appreciate some help finding a replacement cockpit glass for my Italeri Chinook. I never had to get replacement parts so I don't know what to do.

Thanks.

You could try getting the parts through the shop you bought it from, or you can contact Italeri. They should have their address on the instruction sheet, or you can try looking it up on their website. Most model companies will be very good about replacement parts as long as the kit in question is in their current catalogue.

Is it lost, broken, or just covered with cement/paint? It's amazing what you can do to fix damaged clear parts.

I masked the outside portion and forgot the inside, so It was covered with paint, I did use thinner and scraped it but it doesn't look as good as I want it.

Try soaking the whole thing in oven cleaner for a couple of days. You'll have to repaint it all, but that's better than having a mess.

Nathan,

If that helps, then also coat it with Future afterwards. That will get rid of scratched and blemishes.
