Hello All,
I've not posted here in quite some time. I've been more of a collector instead of a builder in the last 12 years or so. Have acquired quite the stash and would love to return to building. My question is this. Would my collection of paints, adhesives, fillers, etc... still be worth keeping and using or should I restock such things? Not sure what effect age has on them. Thought I'd seek thoughts/opinions here before I started quality testing it all. Thanks, fellas!

When I got back in I had several bottles of MM enamel paints that were still good, after over 15 years. Judging by the dust on the paint bottles at the old LHS they had been sitting there for years. The only real way to know is to check them. Liquid glue should still be ok. My tube glue had dried out.

Putty typically gets hard relatively quickly in my experience.

A lot depends on if the bottles were opened or not. I've found that old bottles of MM or Tamiya paint never opened are still good, but once opened they do tend to have evaporation issues. As Jesse said, putty just gets harder with age. Tamiya tape seems to last forever.

hit or miss... I have a gunze schwarz grun from the nineties that's still good. Other ones are clotted after a couple of years. Can't figure it out.
