...You'll love "Troy" the movie. Homer's epic "The Iliad" brought to the screen (once again?). This time with Brad Pitt as Achilles, among others.

I saw that Troy trailer (available on the website) when I saw the Matrix. The opening of the trailer is almost a "Star Wars" intro moment where you just spellbound by the scale of something.

I am still waiting for a movie that captures the sheer scale of a large battle. Imagine for example if in a scene in Saving Private Ryan then had done an overhead scan of the entire Normandy beachhead during the initial assaults? Or an American Civil War battle where 100,000+ men (not 2000 re-inactors shot from different angles) are engaged in a battle like Gettysburg. Or the Battle of Kursk!

If they did an epic modern film of Kursk, I would mess myself, then go to the theatre every night!!! (though I'd clean myself up first!!!) #:-)
