This is a bonehead question for a bonehead blunder I made. I completed around 30 links of the AFV Tiger tracks when I noticed that I had the guide horn piece (which links two tracks together) going the wrong direction. Ive never used a debonder before. This is a sandwich joint, so Im not sure the debonder will make contact.

Anything that I can soak them in to loosen the joint. Some I was able to pop the bond, but others dont want to give up the ghost. Hate to buy a new set but will if I have to. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
Get a bottle of CA (Superglue)debonder. Apply a few drops to the part let it work for half a minute or so and gently pry the pieces apart....do not over force.
Reapply if necessary but generally this stuff works its way
in.
Cheers,
Joe

Make sure you buy the same brand of debonder as the super glue. I know that Zap-a-Gap and Bob Smith debonders are not interchangeable.

You can toss them in the freezer, for an hour or two. This should help to loosen the bond.

Thanks for the ideas. Gotta try the freezer idea. Seems like it would work. Cant hurt to try until I get to the store to buy the debonder.
