So when the Brits and US invaded Iraq I was in my last year of school, I remember watching the news reports on our school tv when it was lunch break. There was a clip that will always stick in my mind. Now I don't remember if it was a Brit armor or US but there was a tracked vehicle, I say tracked because I remember it didn't have a barrel on it, and with it they pulled down a large statue, for me it was a moment I will not forget and I would love to recreate that in a dio.
So, does anyone else remember this or have photos, intonation etc of it, cheers in advance guys!

I believe it was a civilian vehicle. I want to say a front end loader/back hoe.

It was an M88A1.
There are some photos on the internet. Just google 'M88A1 pulls down saddam statue.'

Actually, it was a USMC M88A2 that pulled down the Saddam statue in Firdos Square, Baghdad on 9 April, 2003.
Here is the news story on it.
And a pic of the M88A2 pulling it down.
You can tell it is an M88A2 from the side armor plates, extra winch on the front glacis, and the square boxed boom; as opposed to no side armor nor extra winch and a tubular boom on the M88A1.
To model it in 1/35, AFV Club makes an M88A1 kit and Legend makes an M88A2 conversion kit.
