two minutes ago i thought i would do some work on my Stug 4 for the Tank destroyer Campaign Ive been building it fron the 1st of july.Much to my joy it isnt where I usually leave it ( in my conservatory I dont have a modelling room) "wheres my model dear" silence I repeated the question "i moved it on Saturday" deathly silence, well i found it minus the brackets for the skirt armour most of the tools and a track in half

so im on the floor doing the modellers search "oh I vacumed in here on Sunday"

I just drop kicked what was left of my kit down the garden. any new Campaigns coming up.

I agree with Crossbow, you should get a new kit out of it. When my wife smashed my LRDG truck she replaced it. Of course she waited six months until the next half off sale at Hobby Lobby but she did replace it.
Tell her is was a classic, worth three times it's list price to a collector, and you just can't LIVE without a X kit, where YOU decide what X kit is.

Seriously ,though, this points out the need for weeee modelers to have our own space.
I am lucky to have a seperate room to do my modeling and computiong,so space per se isn't an issue. But,wall space for shelves is,so I find myself investing in clear IMEX casas to store models which get replaced by a newer build.. (++) (++) 49 (++) (++)

Hi. Sorry for your bad luck Easy_Co. I guess there are advantages to modeling out in the garage, despite the sweat in the summer and freezing glue in the winter. Or Not.
Take care, sgirty

Spill beer on the couch and when she fumes, tell her "Oh honey it's only a couch!"
I think she'll get the point then.

I guess I am lucky as I have a room that is mine and mine alone. The family knows that it is off limits to them. So I have never ran into this problem. However I do feel your pain. On another note. Never toss out your destroyed or half destroyed kits. There is always someone out there looking for spare parts. In the future, maybe barbed wire and land mines around your work area??

I'd suggest you kiss and make up. Nothing bad can result from that.

I agree in that she must replace the kit. Think in storing the kits in acrylic cases, the finished ones and the one or ones your building. For the one in building process you could also use a big tupperware.

OK !! THAT DOES IT !! Break one of her favorite dishwares, maybe a couple, of course this may lead to retaliation. Just remember, we here support YOU, at the house or divorce court.lol. Or you could just go out and use money that was meant for something else and replace the model. Their...problem solved!!!

AHHH come on.
Get on to the next tank. Oh tis a good idea to always save even the worst model, you never know when you'll need spare parts. Or you can use it for a conversion.
YIPPEE more ideas!!!!!!!!!
