I have seen several colors recommended for the interior of the A6M2-N, from transparent blue to an almost interior green to black. What would be the correct color? Also, the Tamiya kit instructions state that the Aleutians aircraft may have been painted a light lavender color topside. Does anyone know if this is fact based?

It depended on who produced the particular aircraft you're building. Nakajima and Mitsubishi had their own versions of the interior green (Tamiya makes the Mitsubishi green as part of their paint range). The blue was for interior bits other than the cockpit.

The "mauve" myth seems to have arisen from the particular weathering properties of the Ame-iro grey-brown that early A6ms were painted. In certain lighting conditions, it could look mauve.

Thank you, Jessica. The link has most everything I need. I'll get to this build, hopefully soon. I haven't built anything this old for a while.
