Searched for a place to put this question, this is where it wound up.

My main question is the difference in sizes of wheel/tyre combinations between different U.S. Military trucks. Is the W/T combo on the HEMTT 10-Ton truck the same size as the 16.5-Ton truck? Also, is the M900 series 'Big Foot' truck W/T combo the same size as the 10-Ton HEMTT? And lastly, is either of the HEMTT W/T combo's the same size as the M1070 Super HET transporter?

Are the Super HET's tyre's the same size as the 16.5-Ton HEMTT?

If the above questions didn't confuse you, I could give it another try. #:-)

The M923 A nothing has 11R 20 tire , the same ones that are on the M800 5-tons
the M923A1s have 14R x20 wheels thoses are the "Big Foot" tires
The M977 has 16Rx20 which are the same as the M1070.
At least the tires are the same, the rims are different, but are the same dimater

Did you check out the Tire Gallery in my motor pool? The PLS tire and wheel are the same as the M1070 HET.

Howdy guys,

O.K.....great. I think I've finally got it now. But I'll bounce it off of you just the same if you don't mind. What I'm trying to do is (at least visually ) upgrade my standard 10-Ton HEMTT GunTruck (for the T2K Campaign build) to a 16.5-Ton version of the same truck. Not the Palletized Loading System version, but the cargo version. I am fortunate enough to have on hand the Accurate Armour M1070 Super HET tank transporter model kit. So I was thinking about using the supplied resin tyre's in the HET kit (much beefier W/T combo) in my conversion of the HEMTT. Now, I hate to use the HET wheels (this bloody model is getting ridiculously expensive), but if they are the only way to go, I'll have to consider it.

If I may be of help here. The "super het which (icould be wrong) is based on the PLS or vise versa. But the Super hett has a third tag axle in front of the rear set of wheel. I't is non-driven and can be rased or lowered when needed. So it has 10 tires on it where as the M1070 has only 8. you can cast copys of the Accurate Miniture's wheels and save the M1070 kit
