I just saw a 1/35 scale hummer made by lee on E-bay. I would like to know if anyone knows is this is the good academy type kit or anything else about it. You can check it out below.

Looks OK for a kid to build and get him started into the hobby (motorization), but I don't think it would make a good display model. Besides, I've picked up Academy and Italeri and even Revell of Germany HMMWV kits for less than half that.

That depends Marcel. Originally the Academy HMMWVs ran about $20-22 on the shelf, the Italeri ones were about $10-14. During swaps and on eBay, Academy ones go for about $10 and Italeri ones $5 and up depending on the body style. I picked up an Academy M966 for $6 and a Revell of Germany M998 and M1038 for $6.98 each (both 2-door cargo, one with rear cover). I'll snatch up any Academy Hummer I see for less than $12-15.

Man I got ripped. I was looking for an Academy hummer with the tow launcher for quite a while. I passed up a couple because the price was to high then ended up paying $33 for one because I couldn't find one anywhere else. Oh well, live and learn. I will have to watch closer on e-bay but lately at least tward the end of the auctions they have been really shooting up in price. Whats that word my wife always says I need, patience or something like that
