FYI... you guys can make your own photo-etching parts.. 2 years back, I met a couple of Pinoy architetural modelmakers. For the purpose of hiring somebody to replace me in Doha Qatar. A lot of them attest that they are making they're own photoetch parts.(especially for grillworks and other intricate details) they just have the 2d drawings prepared (to scale) and send them to a shop who do their photo-engraving(that how they call it..) usually they charge by square inch .. There one shop in Valenzuela Bulacan and one in Pasig.. as soon as I get hold of my source I'll tell you exactly where the place is... Abangan and sususnod na kabanata!!!!
by the way this is what i use to do in doha qatar....check my gallery

Great news Oh Fountain of Modeling Wisdom! Keep us posted on this. BISIGI's going to go nuts. Seems like we pinoys are not that deprived after all. You just have to know where to look for things.
Nice buildings Marnie! Did those actually get built?

it's 1 out of 3 that was built. but i really enjoyed working with that company 'coz we were really spoiled in terms of materials and tools we ask for.. my friend just informed me that they got approval to get a laser cutter.. boy! you can do wonders with that and a piece of styrene sheet

okay, I just called my friend from Qatar and asked him exactly the location of the store.. Well whaddya know he forgot the name of the company but with consolation he gave me the location. It's in Mayapis st. corner Buendia Ave. after the school and before the railroad tracks. So it must be on the right side.. It's just a Brass Signage company. Another option is check the yellow pages and see if there's one accessible or near your place. Okay for the quotation (2 yrs. back) he said that an A4 size or a letter size cost around 1200 pesos, depending on the thickness of your brass. and of course you have to provide them with your own artwork. Again I might suggest you call these companies and compare their prices. I mean you won't be needing a letter size right!. Another thing, I think they call it photo-engraving back there, just in case you run into the trouble of explaining to them what you want them to do
