I have had the same trouble. My local HT in Kennesaw, Ga tried to order some and the cant tell them when it will arrive. They don't even know if it is on the water or not. Best bet: EBay.

A bit pricy with shipping, but I guess it depends on how many you want or if you can find something else:

Amazon

Same place as Amazon:
ToyArena

And shows 4 in stock:
1001 ModelKits

I haven't dealt with either place so can't comment on that.

Gil,

A local hobby shop has had bottles of Mr. Surfacer 500:

New Brookland Railroad & Hobby
405 State St, West Columbia, SC 29169

(803) 791-3958

I could call or go by and check if you would like.

How many bottles are you interested in?

I think I misunderstood the question. There are tons of suppliers, in the US for Mr. Surfacer 500.

Gil,

I apologize. I just called New Brookland and the owner said he only has 5 or 6 bottles of Mr. Surfacer 1000 and 1 bottle of Mr. Surfacer 1200 left in stock. They are $6.30 each. He said there will be no more available (at least that he can get).

Are you interested in the other "grits" or only the 500?

The shortage of Mr Surfacer products in the US is due to the US importer/distributor not stocking sufficient quantities to keep retailers supplied. This may be on their end or the manufacturer themselves limiting availability. Either way, when you do find it in stock at your favorite retailer...order more than you need as it might be months before they are restocked.
