I recently bought this stuff for a project I'm working on...

And now I'm trying to figure how to cut a piece of it the size I need. Wow! This stuff is fragile! Every way I've tried to cut if ends up breaking it up so it looks like strands of barb-wire (which in itself could be useful, but not for what I need it for).

I'm hoping for advice on how to cut a square or circle shaped piece out of this sheet without it all breaking apart?

may i suggest photo etch scissors, i think tamiya makes a pretty nice one, mind you they are not cheap. i was set back by the cost but i found a decent substitute in the oriental store, I'm in the USA and and they sell scissors made from high carbon steel made the old fashion way with a hammer and anvil from china, cheap and will hold the edge if sharpened right, good enough to cut PE and pretty much anything else that has to do with modeling. as to cutting the pieces out maybe you could sandwich it between a piece of paper, draw out the outline on the paper before cutting.
