Just a quick note to tell you that I really like the new page format. Much easier to read and navigate, clearer to look at and less cluttered in general. Kudos!

Hi Brad,
Thanks and glad you like it. I hope a majority of users do appreciate the many weeks of work it has taken to update and modernize just the homepages of our sites. There is a lot going on with this that is 'under the hood' so-to-speak so it's not just a pretty re-design.
And not all the sites are updated just yet. Armorama and Historicus Forma are the last to go. They should be updated tomorrow.
Cheers,
Jim

To soon to tell.Right now I am only showing about 3/4 of a page on my screen. To see the whole page I need to decrease my zoom to 75%.which makes things very small. Is there an easy fix? Thanks,Jeff T.

Hi Jeff,
The page widths are roughly the same size as they were before. Are you talking about the height in order to see the whole page at once? If so for those with lower res displays or settings; you would still need to scroll down a bit to see everything.
Thanks,
Jim

Jim,No i'm talking side to side.I can't see the right side add panel and part of the post boxes.I have to scroll to the right to see them.It is an old machine,I'm running XP.I just checked My "new" Laptop, which is running windows 7 and things seem to be fine on that one.Should I try kitmaker.net?I'm using armorama.com on my desktop.Jeff T.

Hi Jeff,
I have an option that will be available to subscribers that might fix your problem pretty easily. Now that I have the homepage code finished it would be pretty easy to implement so keep an eye out for a post about it in the subscriber forum this week.
You might look to see if you can bump up your resolution just a bit though. Sadly most sites are getting to the point where 800 x 600 settings just look awful.
Cheers,
Jim

What would be really nice, would to allow the original poster the option of editing the post title.ie to be able to say the post has been updated or sold if you will.

whoa, whoa, whoa! what's with this new fangled look?
what a surprise, I must be getting old as I always dislike changes
anyway, this is the first day i'm seeing this, so I'll reserve judgement

Jim,thanks for your help. Now that I've looked at the problem more closely,I see that the ad stacks on the right and left sides overlap the page.I tried bumping my resolution, and it did help a little,as far as being able to see everything, but the columes still overlaped the page. Thanks,Jeff T.

One request:
Could you shift all the advertisement to the right? About 60 percent of the time I am using a Win8/x86 Tablet-PC(1) in "portrait" mode (Screen higher than wide) and the left side advertisement forces me to scroll the screen to see the complete forum section.
I do not mind the advertisement and understand the reason (Someone must pay the hardware/maintenance etc) but this makes the forum hard to use.
(1) The problem also happens on my Fragmentdroid "Couchie" for the same reasons.

It may seem a bit less attractive than it used to be. The old homepage looked a bit untidy but it was plenty of images which kept your attention. Anyway, I agree with the other guys. Now is clearer, and since there are few images to upload is also far faster
Thanks a lot for your job guys

Request granted. Well at least for window resolutions 1024 wide or less.

Thanks That helps quite a bit even at 800 Pixel width (My "old" Tablet-PC is 1200x800 only) and will work fine on the new one.

My impressions:
- looks nice and modern.
- Needs "latest post" bottom in individual treads etc. for quicker return to overview
- Some post are duplicate in overview when viewed in Safari on "scroll to bottom" function.
Other than that - slick and sweet.

Hi Jan,
Added that at top and bottom of most forum pages. More in-depth update of the forum will follow later though.
Also I tried out the LP page in Windows 7 Safari and didn't see any duplication of topics. I will try my iPad later to see if it's an OS thing.
Thanks,
Jim
