Hi guys,
Like the topic says we got hit bad worst storm that I have ever witnessed in my 46 years of life. Thank god that all my loved ones are ok and there was no damage to my home but 3 out of 5 houses have some. I lost power at about 1730 hrs on Monday and we may be out for another 10 to 12 days. So I don't know when I will be able to post on the forums again but I will be back and check in when I can

All the best and hope everyone is ok living on the East coast of the US, I've got a close friend who "luckily" was out of town when Sandy hit.

Stay safe..

Hey guy thanks for all the well wishes and I'm glad to here that edmund is ok in Jersey
So the update is that after almost 6 full days with no power we finally got it back which was a good thing, but now the oil burner crapped out last night so I am back to no heat or hot water
When my wife changed oil companies she never told them that we usually get a delivery every October, so that is most likely the main problem
But we have a Noreaster coming in tomorrow and Oil company says they need to seen a service rep over 1st before they send oil and there are over 100 people on the list

Hi Sal,

Glad to hear you are ok, hot water & heat aside. I was over in North Carolina when it hit, but a long way from the coast. Still, my relatives in NY (Long Island) lost power for a while. I rode one out on the Island about 35 years ago, so can sure sympathize with you...

We got only the failing edge of Sandy here in Toronto. I can only imagine what those in New York and New Jersey had to deal with. My sincere best wishes to all of you!
Regards,
Garth
