Been modeling for about 8 months now and have been active mainly on SMA forum and have enjoyed every second of my new hobby. I've completed two kits, one which won 3rd place in a spring contest.
Currently in the Navy, serving on submarines, but I'm stuck on land for a bit and needed a good passtime. Located in North FL/sout GA. Reaching out to new communities to get some new inspiration and networking going before I finally move back home to Pennsylvania.
Glad to be here and hope to meet plenty of modelers and friends here
-Cheers
Brian

Welcome fellow sunshine state member. Where do you live? I'm in Jacksonville and used to live in Fernandina.

I'm at KingsBay base so I'm a 30 minute drive from Jax. This humidity is brutal today.

Welcome aboard!
I think you'll find this hobby has a very wide variety of interests and avenues to explore. It's undergone a lot of growth and just seems to keep getting better. And as others will tell you, it does tend to be a lifelong passion with many rediscovering it after many years of not modeling. So welcome and good luck!

I hear you on the humidity. I have to do all of my airbrushing outside. High humidity, poorer finish; not to mention dodging the storms.
