Hi All,
Does anyone know of a 'Silent hunter' series type game with a surface vessel perspective?
I've played two of the Silent Hunter submarine warfare games and think I'd like to try one with the shoe on the other foot so to speak and become a 'Captain Walker' on my computer.

Hi Tom,
Try Battle stations: Midway or even Battle stations: Pacific.

Midway is brilliant, you get to control surface warships, subs and aeroplanes in the pacific theatre!

One thing to watch out for though is the learning curve is very steep and it might take a while to master the controls. They are very rewarding when you've beaten the learning curve though!

Thanks Daniel,
I was hoping for a more North Atlantic game but I'll take a look.

No problem Tom,
North atlantic games are a bit harder to come by i think, the whole genres not really huge.

There might be a mod for the silent hunter series but thats the best i've got sorry.

Anyone know anything about the game/company?

not sure what type of game you are really interested in, but there is a game called navyfield that you can try. i love it. its a free online mmo that has ranking systems.

there is the www.twowar.com website which has the european based servers and www.navyfield.com which are the US servers.
