Hi There!

I noticed a sign on an otherwise empty storefront in Sunnyvale CA heralding the opening of a new Hobbytown USA store. This is in the little shopping center at the intersection of El Camino Real and Matilda (right across the street from the Sunnyvale City Hall/Library complex).

This future store comes hot on the heels of multiple Hobbytown USA closures across the Bay Area including an earlier franchise in Sunnyvale just a few blocks down from this new location.

While normally I wouldn't give a hoot about new franchise hobby stores, this one is special in that we only have one other hobby store in the entire S.F. South Bay Area and it is half-hearted at best.

I have seen very well stocked and successful Hobbytown USA stores (the one in Las Vegas comes to mind). Hopefully this store will not disappoint!
