Please join us September 22nd 2012 on board the 1:1 scale Essex-class carrier USS Hornet (CV-12) alongside a full scale Tomcat, Avenger, Wildcat and many other aircraft on display to enjoy some smaller scale modelling fun!
Together with the local IPMS branches in the area (IPMS Fremont http://www.fremonthornets.org and IPMS Silicon Valley http://www.svsm.org), USS Hornet Museum is going to hold its first ever modelling expo as part of the "USS Hornet Living Ship Day" on Saturday, September 22nd 2012.
This event will be open to all modelers who want to share their models (all scales, all subjects) with other modelers and the general public in the best location possible! We can guarantee space will, most likely, not be an issue on the Hornet hanger deck.
There will be vendors, demos, activities for kids (make-and-take models), Q&A sessions with many of the veteran docents on board the ship and the only operational Essex-class elevator in action.

Public access to the museum will be during normal museum hours at normal admission rates.
