Hello fellow modelers,

It is my proud pleasure to announce that IPMS USA has chosen The Central Arkansas Scale Modelers as the Mike Rastiatello Chapter of the Year for 2011! Put simply, we have been named Chapter of the Year for ALL of IPMS USA. There are currently 232 chartered IPMS chapters that fall under IPMS USA which include about 45 States, the Philippines and Puerto Rico. By winning Region 6 Chapter of the Year, we were put in the running for this award. This is the highest award that IPMS USA bestows on a club. It is only given to a chapter that exemplifies the spirit of the International Plastic Modelers Society and the hobby of model building itself.

Words cannot express how proud I am of CASM as a whole. Everyone played their part but there were a number of you that went above and beyond to help push the hobby and also push CASM to the next level and influence the hobby on a world wide scale. You have my heartfelt gratitude. I want to specifically thank the Executive board for the endless hours of work, discussion and day dreaming that played such a huge role in CASM's success . I could not have asked for a better group of officers to work with over the last two years. Each one brought ideas and a willingness to share and discuss them, often ad nauseum, until it was something we all felt was right and achievable. None did any of this with even a thought of recognition or Chapter of the Year. They all did it because they love the club and they love the hobby.

Congratulations CASM!

Happy Modeling,

Kenneth Childres

Nice clean build, but it looks a little too 'new'. Have you considered a wash or filter?

Congrats.
